This blog began as a place to present a range of pictures, normal-ish to bizarre, of New Orleans, post-Katrina. Now, it contains more elements of my life and art. When I was a kid we would keep our conkers for a year since they tend to harden over time (it's best to string them when they're fresh though). You could also try popping them in the oven for a while or soaking them in vinegar if you are seeking a truly champion conker.
