This blog began as a place to present a range of pictures, normal-ish to bizarre, of New Orleans, post-Katrina. Now, it contains more elements of my life and art. Comments and pictures from the long lasting aftershocks of the storm will crop up from time to time. If you want to view post-Katrina photos, see the earliest archives.

The "real" Rob Walker (he lived somewhere near the fairgrounds) told me that likes your blog very much, especially your pics. Let me know when your friend's book is published. Miranda's work is phenomenal.
Nikki,
I forgots to thank you for the link to my blog and I did the same.
Luckily over the years, I've acquired a good selection of musics from Africa, the other Caribbean (Haiti, Guadeloupe & Martinique), Brasil et al. It's strange that I'd never had heard a lot of NO music until the thing. I started buying lots more. I had some Professor Longhair and Dr. John and Meters. If you'd like some, please send me a PO #. Music has done some wondrous things for me in life.
You can email me too if you'd like.
No prob, and thanks back at ya.
Nikki
