This blog began as a place to present a range of pictures, normal-ish to bizarre, of New Orleans, post-Katrina. Now, it contains more elements of my life and art. Comments and pictures from the long lasting aftershocks of the storm will crop up from time to time. If you want to view post-Katrina photos, see the earliest archives.

Up here in Michigan my heart both aches and is filled with admiration for and solidarity with you and your lovely broken town.
The NPR tributes for Helen and the other victims and the message I read here are cries those of us who are not physically there hear and share. Our governments which should be meeting our most basic needs have so far turned away.
What are some worthy service providing organizations where we can send our money? I have sent money to Habitat for Humanity and designated it for New Orleans but want to send more.
My heart and consciousness are with you all.
