The Falstaff Building

Mid City, New Orleans, on a rainy (thank God) day.

Falstaff is an American beer originally produced by Lemp Brewing in 1903 and discontinued in 2005. In its later years, it was brewed by Pabst.*

And the building is now owned by our neighbor Tad... wonder if we could get a private tour :)

That would be neat. I had forgotten that he bought that building. Know his plans?

Do you know who owns the Dixie Brewery?

It says in the Times-Pic article that he wants to build "150 affordable apartments." Hopefully it'll go quicker than that damn coffee shop! :)

According to this recent NPR story it's still owned by Joe and Kendra Bruno, who hope to reopen it by October 2007.
