Flock of Moths

This blog began as a place to present a range of pictures, normal-ish to bizarre, of New Orleans, post-Katrina. Now, it contains more elements of my life and art. Comments and pictures from the long lasting aftershocks of the storm will crop up from time to time. If you want to view post-Katrina photos, see the earliest archives.

These are brillant, I though the first picture was real insects on first glance.
Thank you much, they are a little creepy, eh?
Slightly although I'm a big insect fan, the top left one looks so real and if it moves in the wind it would be quite freaky.
Oh, yeah. It was a good freaky. It was neat to see something purely from my imagination literally take flight. The feathers are all only attached at the body, so the movement is quite realeastic.
bubblegum,
Muchos gracias.
These are amazing!!
Very interesting!! I like them all. . . however . . .I don't think I would want any crawling on me!!
Thanks you all! And Manna, I don't remember! But I remember the hairy big big moths that hung all over the doorway and how we had to reach through them all to get into the house and wow they were big and unearthly, really. And this is the image that has stayed with me my whole life and insprired these creatures. I'll find the feathers if I have to search to the ends of the earth -or all pools of the forest.
